WORLD PRAISE DAY: OMOLE LAUNCHES STREET CARNIVAL, VISITS CHURCH LEADERS
The convener of the May 7 World Praise Day, Deacon Banjo Omole has announced a street carnival around Lagos to create awareness for the event.
According to Omole, visitation to top church leaders and the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, and the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, are also being planned to brief ministers in the Body of Christ about the programme.
Omole, a Deacon of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, received the vision of the May 7 World Praise Day on March 15, 2014.
Last year, he launched a book of the same title in which he encapsulate the message of the global event.
He said, the live event, which is to hold on May 7 every year, would start in Lagos this year, but he wants to enlist the participation of all Christians in all churches here in Nigeria, and hopefully, all other countries.
“This is why I am visiting the leading ministers, General Overseers, evangelists, prophets, church workers, and officials to drum support for the programme. Participation is easy: it entails a gathering in your home, church, or concert venue where you sing songs of praise onto the Lord on May 7, 2022, and every other May 7, henceforth”.
“No need for registration or any form to payment. Assemble and praise God. We shall explain all the details on our website, soon to be launched”
Deacon Omole further explained that praising God on May 7, is not restricted to the Christian community alone. “All can praise God, including adherents of other faiths; they are creatures of God. This is what makes the World Praise Day unique”, he added.
Deacon Omole is also a veteran grass-roots politician with considerable influence on local politics in his Ifako-Ijaiye local government area of Lagos, where he is the chairman of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC Party, in the district.
He has about ten books in the works, but his major work in this World Praise Daybook is a product of a divine vision that God gave him on the subject matter.
